The Ariel Cottages are solid sandstone buildings built faithful to the early colonial heritage style, perfect for couples looking for that rural escape. Located in the Meander Valley not far from Cradle Mountain in an area settled by the early colonial pioneers, the Ariel cottages provide a luxurious retreat from the hustle and bustle while sacrificing none of the modern conveniences (convenient wifi, roomy living/dining, stunning views). Heated by a beautiful cast iron wood-fire that also doubles as an oven with a full kitchen, verandah, heated hot tub for couples, and stunning views over the mountains as they evolve through each of the four seasons.

Guests can explore the extensive gardens and the farm, interact with and feed the friendly goats, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl while sighting local wildlife such as wedge-tailed eagles, peregrine falcons, tawny frog-mouths, Tasmanian Devils, bandicoots, wallabies, and a whole host of other small marsupials. Alternatively, guests might enjoy a paddle on the large dam, to enjoy the BBQ facilities or pack a picnic basket and spend the day up on the hills of the property gazing over the vista.

All stays include an assortment of locally sourced breakfast provisions including eggs from the farm, bacon from a local piggery, freshly squeezed orange juice, local milk, and locally sourced bread baked in the traditional style from a 150 year old wood fired oven.

Prices vary: check below for availability and current pricing.

Designed for 2 adults but capable of accommodating up to 4 people with fold-out beds.
